Happy
March! Spring is just around the corner
– let’s all hang in there just a bit longer!
It won’t be long before we start seeing those first signs of spring –
the stalwart daffodils that line sidewalks and occupy patches of yards and
fields there and here. Like little
fluttery cups of sunshine, these harbingers of spring happen to be the official
“flower of March.”
So, as a sweet little
kindergartener I had in my classroom twenty-some years ago said to me (as she
clutched a tight-fisted bouquet of yellow), “Look Miss Kathleen, I bring-ed you
some daffy-dills.” Daffy-dills,
indeed! Happy March! And may you find many sweet daffy-dills along
your way to spring!
