Virtual Reality Demonstration for Teens at Neill Public Library

As a part of the 2019 Summer Reading Program, the Friends of Neill Public Library invite teens age 13-17 to don headsets and discover new worlds through virtual reality. This incredible experience will be held in the library’s Hecht meeting room on Wednesday, June 19, from 3:30 – 5:30pm.

Virtual Reality is a technology which immerses its users into a completely simulated environment, sparking curiosity and encouraging playful exploration and discovery. Neill Public Library is pleased to offer VR to its patrons, thanks to a partnership with the Washington State Library Office of the Secretary of State, Oculus and the University of Washington Information School.

Pre-registration is suggested for this free, fun library program as spaces are limited, but drop-ins are permitted. A completed waiver form for all participants is required. Forms may be downloaded from the library’s website or picked up in hardcopy at the library.
