Explore L.O.C.K.E.R. Boxes with your child

These initials stand for: Learning Opportunities! Connecting Kids! Experiencing Reading! and is a collection of activity boxes we have available for borrowing. Presently there are 29 different theme-based boxes designed to stimulate and enrich the literacy experiences of young children and provide their families and caregivers with a variety of developmentally appropriate materials, including quality literature and hands-on activities and manipulatives. The boxes are not intended for children under three and should be used under the supervision of an adult. Some borrowing parameters:
  • Three-week loan period
  • Two renewals, unless requested by another patron
  • Limit of two L.O.C.K.E.R. Boxes per library card plus two on request
For a list of all 29 boxes, type in locker boxes in the catalog general keyword search. From here you can place requests or determine which boxes are presently available.
