The Grand Avenue Book Club will meet on October 1 at 6:30 to discuss A Strong West Wind: A Memoir by Gail Caldwell.
This memoir is set in the high plains of Texas where the Pulitzer prize-winning author grew up surrounded by dust storms and cattle ranches. She took refuge from the vastness of the land and the ever-present wind by retreating into books. There, she found a blueprint for her own future.
Pick up a copy at the library today and be ready for some lively discussion.
