New databases at the library
Neill Public Library is proud to announce the addition of two new databases to its collection: Testing & Education Resource Center, and Mango Languages.
The Testing & Education Reference Center (TERC) provides users with in-depth information on colleges and universities, graduate and professional programs, distance learning, corporate training, available scholarships and awards, preparatory entrance tests, and much more, all from one single, handy database. One of TERC’s most exciting features is complete access to e-books to prepare for the GED, SAT, GRE, TOEFL, NCLEX, ASVAB, and many more tests.
Mango Languages is an online language-learning system teaching actual conversation skills for a wide variety of languages. By listening to and repeating material designed from real-life situations and native conversations, you'll not only learn the individual words and phrases, you'll know how they're used in practical applications. Mango currently contains 22 foreign languages and 14 English as a Second Language (ESL) courses.
You can access these and our other useful databases from the library’s computers or from any computer with internet access. Simply go to our website (www.neill-lib.org) and click on the “Databases” link. If you are at a computer away from the library, you will be prompted to enter your library barcode number (available on the front of your library card). If you need any help, please give us a call at 509-334-3595 and one of our friendly information desk staff members will be happy to assist you.
