Free eBook from the National Library of Medicine

The National Library of Medicine (NLM) has a new volume, Hidden Treasure: The National Library of Medicine, which celebrates the Library's 175th anniversary.  The item is available in hardcover from Amazon, but the NLM is offering a PDF download for free!

The link directly to the PDF is here; you will be able to view this on a computer (your own or the library's), or download and transfer the file to a PDF-friendly device (eReaders like a Nook, or other devices, like tablet computers).

Michael Sappol, a curator-historian at the National Library of Medicine, "was determined to produce a volume that would show off the richness of the collection, and the curiosities it contains, to distinguish NLM from other libraries."
