Staying in town this holiday weekend? If Thanksgiving was anything to go by, you'll want to get to the library early this week if you plan on checking out DVDs to keep you entertained! DVD checkouts were significantly elevated the week before Thanksgiving: Between November 15th and 21st, we checked out 1,286 Entertainment DVDs, 245 more than a similar period in October! A Thursday-through-Wednesday week for Entertainment DVD checkouts in October (the 18th through 24th) was only 1,041.
The weather is shaping up to be quite chilly, if not exactly frightful, so grab your DVDs (and books and audiobooks) to keep you occupied!
