Senior Research Scientist for Battelle at Pacific
Northwest National Laboratory, Bruce Bjornstad will appear at Neill Public
Library July 10th to
present on the topic of “Exploring the Ice Age Floods.” The program will begin at 5:30pm in the Hecht Meeting Room.
Glacier activity and flooding gave much of the
Northwest, and particularly the Palouse, its distinctive geological formations. Bjornstad, with a Master of Science in
Geology from EWU, specializes in sedimentology, hydrogeology, and
geochronology, among other geological specializations.
