New Resources for Researchers!

Homework the first weekend?  As promised, new databases are live on the NPL website and ready for you to use!

In addition to our much-loved favorites (National Geographic Virtual Library, Consumer Reports, Mango Languages, and more), we now offer a selection of databases each designed to help students and members of the public.  View the full list of available databases on our Online Resources page.

CultureGrams has information on over 180 countries-- and social and demographic information on the people who live there.  Information is also available on U.S. States and Canadian provinces.

With eLibrary, find over 2,500 full-text magazines, newspapers, books, and transcript titles, along with more than 7 million maps, pictures, weblinks, and audio/video files, all 100 percent full-text.

History Study Center is your resource for material on over 14 centuries of history, with original and secondary sources.

Find over 180,000 texts in ProQuest Learning: Literature, including full-text prose, poetry, and plays, along with author biographies and criticism.

ProQuest Research Library gives you full-text access to news sources, plus business information and health resources.

SIRS Discoverer is a news source for young researchers, with full-text magazine and news articles plus government documents, with titles like National Geographic Kids, Ranger RickTime for Kids, and Your Big Backyard.

Every one of our databases is available for free from anywhere you have internet access.  You'll just need to enter your library card number when prompted-- the whole thing (2360700xxxxxxx) with no spaces.  Remember to bring your questions to your librarians for help with all your research questions!
