Victor Johnson returns to Pullman with music and fun!

The Friends of Neill Public Library invite children and families to an evening of incredible music and toe tapping fun! Victor Johnson, award winning writer, musician, performer and producer from the Pacific Northwest is back by popular demand for another highly entertaining musical performance.

Victor specializes in traditional styles of acoustic music for kids and families.  His music has appeared in Nick Jr., Parenting, Blues Revue and Curious Parent magazines as well as NPR and children’s radio shows nationwide. He has won several awards including two Parents’ Choice Silver Awards for his Country Blues for Kids and Kid at Heart CDs. Victor has also been featured on Oregon Public Broadcasting’s Art Beat television series and appears on Putumayo Kids 2011 Acoustic Dreamland CD. Ireland’s premier chip company Tayto Crisps, has chosen to use Victor’s version of “This Little Light of Mine” for their new TV, radio and movie theater ads.

Johnson will perform twice on Thursday, July 24.  His first performance will be a musical storytime at Neill Public Library from 10:30-11:00 a.m. Young children of all ages are invited to this participatory performance with an emphasis on rhythmic fun.  Then, from 6-7:15 p.m. at Reaney Park, Johnson will perform for all ages. This family musical show will feature kid and grown up favorites, including traditional tunes and country blues.

Johnson’s performances are sponsored by the Friends of Neill Public Library who will provide free ice cream to all children at his evening concert.
