Independence Day

Today, July 4th, we celebrate Independence Day in honor of the birth of our great nation! In the year 1776, in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the Continental Congress voted for independence from Great Britain, with the adoption of the Declaration of Independence. Signed by 56 men who unanimously agreed, after much debate and many changes to the wording of the document, that through their "support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor."

Have you read the Declaration of Independence?  It declares that "all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." In the pursuit of your Happiness,  whether enjoying a barbeque with family and friends, watching the fireworks, or taking the time to learn more about the Declaration of Independence,  have a fun and safe Independence Day celebration.
