ArtWalk 2016 Kicks-off Today with Storytime with the Pullman Arts Commission!

Celebrate art in Pullman with ArtWalk 2016 - an innovative art experience for people of all ages!  Pullman comes alive with exhibits, workshops, and live performances from over 35 artists at 24 different locations downtown! This event features pop-up projects, activities for children and adults, and other displays designed to promote and celebrate the arts in our region.

This event is made possible by a partnership between the Pullman Arts Commission, regional artists, and local businesses.  Funding is provided by a Lodging & Tourism grant award and local matches.  Festivities begin with a special children’s storytime at Neill Public Library on Thursday, May 12 at 11:00 am, followed by a series of workshops and other entertainment that afternoon and evening including the presentation of the Mayor’s Award at 5pm at the Regional Theatre of the Palouse, followed by the unveiling of Pullman’s first Utility Box Art Wrap, and an artist meet and greet.  All other art exhibits, workshops, and live performances are scheduled for Saturday, May 14 from 4 – 8pm.  For a full listing of events, please visit facebook.com/PullmanArtsCommission or contact Lori Lewis, 509-338-3269, at Neill Public Library.
