Outsmarting the Internet: Exploring ways to learn, engage and avoid 'fake news'

Neill Public Library welcomes instructors from the WSU Department of English for Outsmarting the Internet: Exploring Ways to Learn, Engage, and Avoid “Fake News.”

This community workshop will focus on effective and strategic internet use, including the concept of “fake news” and how to spot it. Learn about forms of bias, techniques for establishing source credibility, and how to apply these principles to both work and personal settings. Bring your questions, sources, projects and concerns!

Where: The Hecht Room, Neill Public Library
When: Saturday, August 3, 1-3pm
