Send a Little Love

It's February.  Yeah, what a news flash that is.  It is kind of crazy to think we are already nearly 10% done with 2013.  (yikes!)  Another non-news flash is the approach of Valentine's Day.  Some people love it, some people hate it, some people have different feelings as their life circumstances change.  But here's something we can all get behind:

No matter who you are or what your life circumstances may be, you have a library.  We are here for you and we just want you to be happy.  You can borrow our books and DVDs.  Not many pals are so generous-- however many books you want!  Just wanna hang out for a while, be out of the house, perhaps engage in some people-watching?  Pull up a chair, no questions asked.  If you need help fixing your car, we can help (Chilton Auto Repair Library database and books!).  If you're moving and don't have internet at the new place, use a computer here, absolutely.  Need a place that's not someone's house to meet with your group?  Come to ours (free meeting rooms!).  If you were, heaven forefend, to get troubling news from the doctor, we've got your back (health databases and print resources!).  Gotta help your kiddo with an assignment on a country you've never heard of?  Call or email (National Geographic Virtual Library and Book a Librarian!) your librarian.  Whatever is going on in your life, you know we're here for you.

So stop by, say hi.  Call us once in a while just to see how we are doing, perhaps.  It's not like we're asking you to buy us diamonds or anything.  We know it might be asking too much to remember our anniversary-- the day you signed up for your library card.  *Sigh*  We know the date, though.  What a special time it was.

Do you love your library?  Like any other long-term relationship, it's the little things that show you care: a kind word to a staff member, cleaning up the trains when the kids are done, trying your best to keep our things nice and neat, maybe even a small gift to the Friends once in a while.

Your Library loves you all year round!
