Get ready for the Summer Reading Program!

Make sure your summer plans include all that will be happening at Neill Library.  No matter the age (from birth to octogenarian), there is something for everyone!  “Literary Elements” for adults (18 years and up) starts on June 1.  It’s a no-hassle-so-easy program - no registration is required.  Stop by the library and pick up an informational flier and get started reading!  Prizes will be given away on a regular basis.  You won’t want to miss the fun!

For teens (12-17 years) it’s time to “Spark a Reaction” and have fun. Registration starts at the library on June 4 and continues through the month of July.  If teens register at the library on June 4-7, they’re eligible to win a grand prize worth more than $250 in merchant coupons, gift certificates and of course, great books! Teens can also become library ambassadors by joining the library’s teen volunteer group called “Tuesday Teens”.  A tasty fun program for teens is taking place on Thursday, July 10 called “Chocolate Mania”.  More details to come!  Finally, teens can earn a gift certificate to Brused Books and then become eligible to win an eReader!  Join us!  Bring a friend!
Finally, children (0-11 years) can enjoy “Boom! Fizz! Read!” as they enjoy great programs and also earn two free books from the Friends of Neill Library!  Registration starts at the library on June 4 and continues through the month of July.  If kids register at the library on June 4-7, they’re eligible to win a grand prize worth more than $250 in merchant coupons, gift certificates and of course, great books! WOW! Free programs this summer for kids include an amazing magician, a hilarious ventriloquist, a bubble illusionist and so much more!  Make plans to be at Kruegel Park on Thursday, July 17 and bring your camera!  Mo Willem’s beloved book characters Gerald (Piggy) and Elephant will be there along with some fun treats, songs and activities for kids.
