Have you seen our new database, Books and Authors? This is a Reader's Advisory resource, to help you find more of just the right kinds of books you enjoy. It's free to use from anywhere you have internet access! Grab your library card and click the image below to take it for a spin!
What can you do in Books and Authors?
1. Browse fiction by genre or nonfiction by subject.
2. Search for a title, author, keyword, or series.
3. Read synopses and reviews.
4. Filter search results by age group (adult, young adult, or children) or area (fiction or nonfiction).
5. Use the Who? What? Where? When? (WWWW) feature to search for books that meet multiple criteria: I can search for historical fiction books about women in Colorado to find relevant titles.
Books and Authors also lets you create a free account (linked to your email address) which allows you to save titles or authors to custom to-read lists, view past searches, enter your own reviews, and rate books (out of a possible 5 stars).
We still have access to NoveList, the Reader's Advisory database we offered last year. However, our subscription will run out this spring and we were not able to renew that service.
